Understanding Pilates breathing (different from yoga breathing) and the resistance points for each exercise is the proper way to take a mat class. I've taught beginning to advanced mat classes for many years. Classes offered include Palo Alto Recreational Department, Lockheed and Stanford University's Health Improvement Program.
